TRAINING

WELL TRAINING DAY IS SADLY OVER!WE had some new people come back....thank goodness because i did not want to be responsible for scaring them off...honest i went light but we didnt see
them for a couple of practise days...PEOPLE GOT WORRIED
so i didnt want to get all happy and say something until they returned...
KELLY,GENE,ROCCO,SPENCER AND TRIPLEFRY ON THE SCA ERIC...COWBOY AND SHARON TOOK CARE OF OUR ECS COMITMENTS...
JOINING US on the field was the Brotherhood of the gaunlet, they brought some new
people to try and hook them into playing...WE PRACTISED
SWORD AND BOARD.... SPENCE MADE A NEW ROUND SHIELD TO TRY OUT..NOT BAD BUT ONLY HAD A SMALL TALON ON IT.....AND SOME BOWLING PINS..WE PRACTISED SPEAR, GLAVE,FLORINTINE
3 ON 3 MELEE...WE BROKE IN THE NEW GUYS REAL FAST...AS SOON AS WE HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE
ITS BLOOD OF HEROS....NEXT WEEK WE HOPE TO DO IT AGAIN,,,TF..LOL

PRACTISE

Well.. out west we are lucky enough to have at least 1 day aweek where we can meet and
fight or just go over things that need attention..what we lack is new people to fight ...we all
know each other pretty well so fighting isnt as hard or radom as war...hitting the pell is great
for tech but without someone hitting back you dont know how bad you really are...still
i enjoy and look forward to that one day i have with my black talon brothers and sisters and
i try to do them justice by fighting or training as hard as i can.....with what i have

Training

So, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on how to improve our general training level.

I don't think we should make practice mandatory because we are too widespread and ppl have job/family conflicts. Although, I think everyone should practice, even if it is with your local SCA groups (I have no one else to train with).

Let me know if anyone has any ideas/opinions.
